UKAS Pilot Project Update - April 2014
Following the announcement of a pilot programme leading to accreditation of applicants involved in performing inspection of components supplied to new nuclear power plants or those who perform in-service inspection in existing nuclear power plants, UKAS has announced its first accreditation.

Following an 18 month pilot assessment programme Lloyds Register Apave Ltd was accredited on 2 April 2014 for design verification and inspection of new products and modifications of nuclear island components, associated controls and safety systems. Three other applicants are participating in the pilot programme and their assessments are currently in progress.
